Taking its cue from natural settings like deep space or molten lava the pendant has an irregular shape created from a mold. Vacuum metallization furthermore creates a mirror effect when turned off and a translucence when turned on. The light bounces and reflects around its uneven surfaces to create a unique melting hot blown glass effect. Suspended in a molten hot state the tom dixon melt pendant is a distorted sphere that changes in appearance when touched by light.
